Non invasive testing unit, for fever. This terminal is made up of a PC, LCD monitor and thermal vision camera on a pole. The purpose of the device is to measure skin temperature, thereby screening multiple people in a group, for the individuals with a fever. You can use the data to take these individuals aside and further investigate for any potentially contagious virus. Temperature screening threshold can be updated for better results. Software indicates which individuals measure above the threshold.

The device can only give a rough group screening. Several factors may effect the results. Ambient temperature may make thermal readings difficult. Asymptomatic people may have no fever, and therefore would not be detected, but they could still be contagious. There are also a number of possible reasons for people to have a fever other than a contagious Coronavirus. The only effective way to use this device is for the screener to also be knowledgeable in all the other symptoms of the contagious disease, so they can compliment the temperature results provided by this machine, instead of relying on them alone. It is recommended that additional screeners use handheld thermometers, which are more accurate, to investigate the individuals who are flagged as having a fever.
